Fees and scholarships
- Unless you are already a US resident, tuition costs average $25-35,000 a year.
- Cost of living is $15-20,000 a year, a large part of which is accommodation.
- Don’t let the fees daunt you, as a majority of students receive some form of aid. This includes international students, and often covers living costs (not just tuition).
- The aid may be in the form of academic or sports scholarship. The top universities have a principle of “getting the best students in” and then doing their best to help them fund their education.
- Your student visa will also allow you to work for 20 hours a week on campus (40 hours per week during holiday time)
